Eligibility Criteria
We seek candidates who demonstrate both academic excellence and professional maturity:
Academic Qualification
A Master’s degree in a relevant discipline from a recognized institution.
Professional Experience
Minimum of two years of work experience in a leadership, technical, or practitioner role.
Reflective Practitioner Profile
Applicants must show evidence of critical reflection, ethical reasoning, and commitment to lifelong learning. This includes:
- Documented professional achievements
- Engagement in problem-solving or innovation
- Capacity to integrate theory and practice
ACD-SAR Doctoral Entry Pathways
1. MPhil Qualifications Entry
- Candidates with an MPhil in a relevant discipline from a recognized institution.
- Must demonstrate research experience and capacity for applied inquiry.
- Eligible for direct entry into traditional PhD or professional doctorate Programmes.
2. MA/MSc Qualifications Entry
- Holders of MA/MSc degrees in relevant fields.
- Minimum of two years of professional experience in leadership, technical, or practitioner roles.
- Must submit a concept note and demonstrate reflective practice and ethical reasoning.
3. Professional Qualifications Entry
- Candidates with recognized professional certifications such as:
- CAG, ACCA, CIMA, CIPM, CFA, etc.
- Minimum of four years of professional experience in leadership, technical, or practitioner roles
- Must show evidence of:
- Leadership or technical experience
- Documented achievements and innovation
- Capacity to integrate theory and practice
Note: Candidates without a formal master’s degree will be required to complete a bridging Programme.
ACD-SAR Bridging/Access Programme
One-Year MSc/MA Access Programme
- Designed for candidates with:
- A Bachelor’s degree and
- Recognized professional qualifications
- Outcome: Earn a modular MSc/MA tailored to their field, enabling progression into the doctoral Programme.
- Delivery: Blended format (virtual, residential, field-based) with co-supervision and experiential learning.
- Focus: Research foundations, critical thinking, and professional application aligned with CDT–BEPS domains.
